"About Mice and Men" is a novella that doesn't make it out of the hundreds of best-selling books on Amazon, along with Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" and Orwell's "1984." The book, which is included by the American Library Association in the list of banned along with "451 Fahrenheit" and "Over the Gap in the Rye." Both of its adaptations became a notable event in the film world: the 1939 film was nominated for 4 Academy Awards, the 1992 film - the Palme d'Or.
