Author George Meredith

In his work George Meredith (1828-1909) continues realistic traditions in English literature. The novel "The Trial of Richard Feverel" (1859) is devoted to the problem of becoming the personality of the hero, the theme of the relationship between "fathers and children." Following Dickens, J. Meredith advocates the humanistic principles of raising a young man.
